The NRA Personal Protection in the Home course covers defensive shooting in the home using the pistol. Self-defense is a topic builds on your knowledge of shooting fundamentals, covering mindset, legal issues, decision-making under pressure, and planning for the worst.
Among the advanced techniques you’ll learn are the flash sight picture, defensive accuracy, one- and two-handed shooting, and shooting from behind cover and concealment. You’ll experience the Tueller Drill and determine “How close is too close?” for an assailant to get.

- Strategies for Home Safety and Responding to a Violent Confrontation

This course is conducted over two days (Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning).
