We equip everyone with a Smith & Wesson .380 EZ semi-auto pistol and provide the ammo\, rental electronic earmuffs and eye protection. DESCRIPTION:What You’ll Learn \nThe USCCA’s Defensive Pistol Program (DPP) is a comprehensive course designed to help participants develop essential defensive shooting skills using live-fire and dry-fire training. The program is broken into six parts\, each progressively building on the last to ensure the best results for individual students. These six parts include classroom-based learning and live-fire training to fully integrate objective and performance-based training methods. DESCRIPTION:  \nPrerequisite: A good attitude and willingness to learn! \nThis is the place for individuals with little or no handgun experience to start; it’s also a great class for those who have learned informally from a friend or family. We equip everyone with a Smith & Wesson .380 EZ semi-auto pistol and provide the ammo\, rental electronic earmuffs and eye protection. Even if you already have a gun and have done a little shooting\, our common training platform (and the easy-to-operate firearm) will ensure that you are focused on learning safety and shooting fundamentals rather than wrestling with your gun during the class. You’ll spend about 2 hours in the classroom learning the fundamentals; the rest of the time is spent on the range: practicing safe methods for loading and unloading\, then live-fire exercises on the shooting fundamentals. DESCRIPTION:  \n  \nIf you are interested in becoming an NRA-certified pistol instructor like our staff\, this 3-day class is for you! Teaching is fun and fulfilling! But if you give any sort of firearms instruction in association with any group\, you should protect yourself by carrying firearm instructor’s insurance; an NRA certification is required for attaining that insurance.
